On 24 and 25 January 2026, an important U12 alpine skiing event took place in the Heubach ski resort in the Thuringian Forest: the regional preliminary round of the ARGE Nord-Ost-West. With a great passion for youth sport and the promotion of youth sport, ZAG Menschen und Perspektiven is committed not only to job placement, but also to supporting social and sporting projects - such as this regional ski race.

ZAG People and Perspectives: More than just job placement

ZAG Menschen und Perspektiven not only finds exciting jobs for jobseekers and people looking to change jobs through temporary employment or direct placement, but is also actively involved in social projects and sport. ZAG's commitment goes far beyond the job market and also includes the promotion of young sporting talent. This was also the case at this event, where our area manager Thomas Reymann accompanied both ski races in the Thuringian Forest as race director.

The Alpine skiing event: a highlight for the U12s

In total, over 150 young athletes from 18 clubs and 6 federal states (NRW, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Saxony and Thuringia) competed against each other in two slalom races. With two runs in each race, the aim was to secure the coveted starting places for the national competition in Bavaria. The special attraction of this event lay not only in the sporting challenge, but also in the demanding course: 46 gates, jumps, waves and a roof demanded a lot from the young skiers.

Unforgettable moments and great award ceremonies

In addition to the sporting challenges, the event also provided unforgettable moments. On the first day of the race, a flower ceremony was held to celebrate the best athletes. Cool music, dancing with ski boots and the award ceremonies on the second day made the event a real experience for everyone involved. Another highlight was the number raffle, in which every participant won something - so nobody was left without a prize!

A successful event with many happy faces

The U12 ski race was a huge success and made for happy faces among the young athletes, coaches and organisers. It was a true celebration of youth sport, which shows how important it is to promote young talent and support sporting events. ZAG Menschen und Perspektiven is proud to be able to contribute to such an event.
